Summary:
This position reports to the Adult Ambulatory Coordinator and/or to the Director of the Service and the Medical DirectorProvides direct and indirect clinical services to adults in need of mental health care and is responsible for treatment of the client and provision of age-appropriate careCore skills may include crisis assessment, intake assessment, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, treatment planning, case management, team/community collaboration, patient/family education and triage/discharge planningAs skill sets permits, may provide flexible coverage to another service within Behavioral Health on a short-term basisCreates a caring and compassionate environment through the Core Values of Teamwork, Communication, Respect and Caring# EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION This position requires a Master#s degree and be#one of the following:
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the State of ConnecticutIncumbents in specific assignments must possess and maintain a valid drivers# license with public passenger endorsement, maintain a driving record free of any violations and pass a safe driving educational program upon hire and annually thereafter in order to participate in the Fleet Vehicle Program as outlined in the Eastern Connecticut Health Network#s Environment of Care Safety Policies and Procedures #110# EXPERIENCE Level of care and age-specific competencies are requiredTraining and/or familiarity with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), familiarity with abuse and neglect reporting and duty-to-warn mandates, knowledge of community-based resources and experience with pre-authorization and billing processes is preferred# COMPETENCIES This position requires computer competency with basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, strong clinical skills including a demonstrated team orientation, and strong written as well as verbal communication skills using the English languageMust be flexible in approach so that service- specific as well as overall system needs can be metMust be able to function effectively and, at times, independently in an environment where multi-tasking is necessary# ESSENTIAL DUTIES and
