Deering Deluxe 6-string guitar banjo for sale in Wethersfield, CT

Play guitar, want to get that banjo sound, but don't want to learn a whole new instrument? This is the answer! The Deluxe is a step up from the Boston, which is the most common of Deering's 6-strings. The Boston has an all-metal rim, which makes it cheaper to build but gives it a thinner sound than the Deluxe's wooden rim. This particular banjo was built in 1996 but only has very light cosmetic wear, mostly a little tarnishing of the metal hardware. The neck is straight, the frets show very little wear, and the overall setup is excellent. I keep it in Nashville tuning (the bottom 4 strings are an octave up) because it sounds a bit more like a 5-string that way, but it takes to standard guitar tuning just as well. It comes with a hard case and the literature shown.
